WayGo Offers Free Demand Response Transit Trips to Support Voter Access for 2026 Election

To promote civic participation and address community inquiries regarding voter transportation, the City of Wooster and WayGo, the Wooster Area Public Transit system, have announced a special election promotion. From Monday, October 26, through Tuesday, November 3, 2026, WayGo will provide one free round trip on its Demand Response service to help local residents reach the polls.

"After the public asked questions about voter transportation, city leadership and WayGo staff reviewed our current operations to identify a solution," said Kevin White, Public Transportation Manager. "Offering free Demand Response trips around Election Day is a simple, practical way to use our existing transit system to serve the community. Ultimately, we want to ensure every eligible voter in Wooster has a safe, reliable ride to the polls."
