From January 2019 through May 2019 employees of the Public Properties Maintenance division spent many of their working hours renovating The Chalet at Freedlander Park. Countless hours have been devoted to updating the kitchen, restrooms and the event space itself. Some behind the scenes updates include a new HVAC system, electrical upgrades, new lighting, plumbing, and windows.
The Kitchen includes:

An upright Refrigerator
An upright Freezer
A 5ft x 14ft Island (with countertop outlet)
Alcohol at The Chalet at Freedlander Park
Beginning in November 2020 Alcohol will be allowed to be served at The Chalet at Freedlander Park. Any individuals interested in having alcohol at an event must apply for and secure a Alcohol Use Permit online though the City of Wooster permitting service View Point Cloud, and provide a certificate of insurance to The City of Wooster showing evidence of personal liability insurance in an amount no less than $300,000. Any organization wishing to have alcohol at an event must provide a certificate of insurance to The City of Wooster listing the City of Wooster as a certificate holder and additional insured in an amount no less than $1,000,000.
The women's restroom is now equipped with an adjacent Bridal Suite for the bride and her guests to get ready in.
The men's restroom has been updated to match the aesthetic of the rest of the building.
The Chalet space includes a removable seating area in front of a beautiful 5ft gas fireplace.
We are able to accommodate seating for up to 190 individuals with round and rectangular tables.
Chairs are included in your rental.
When reserving the Chalet, we will work closely with you on how you would like tables and chairs displayed for your events. Everything will be set up and ready for you upon arrival.

* Please note that in order to qualify for the resident rate the individual renting The Chalet must live, work, or own property within the city limits of Wooster. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book all Chalet events.
